The New Normal

We are collectively experiencing a new normal. It’s okay if we need to shift our routines around. It’s okay if you feel a little off. Everything is new for so many of us. Maybe you lost your job or maybe you’re now working from home or maybe you’re working more hours or maybe you have your hours cut. Maybe you have to postpone a birthday celebration, a wedding, a memorial. Whatever it is for you, it’s new.

I know I have to show myself some compassion for what is new and it’s okay if you do too.

In the midst of the storm, it may feel like the sun won’t come out again. But it will.

In these strange times I hold on to hope that we will make it out, not unscathed, but stronger and with more gratitude than before.
